Entry Level Journeyman

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journey person to join our team in Bridgeport Wv. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive electrical experience, including industrial and commercial applications, with a strong background in blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical systems. This role involves working on construction sites, renovation projects, and various electrical installations, ensuring compliance with NEC standards and safety regulations.

The Journey person will be responsible for executing complex electrical tasks, troubleshooting systems, and supporting project teams to deliver high-quality results efficiently. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in industrial, commercial, and construction environments. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute precise wiring and system layouts.

• Operate hand tools, power tools, multi meters (including ohmmeters), and other testing equipment safely and effectively. • Work with low voltage and high voltage systems while adhering to NEC standards and safety protocols. • Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify root causes promptly.
• Assist in renovation projects by performing framing carpentry, drywall installation, or maintenance person tasks as needed. • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members to ensure project timelines are met. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety procedures and protocols on-site.
• Support the training of apprentices or less experienced team members when required. • MUST PASS A DRUG SCREENING!!!!! Qualifications • Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a valid journey person certification.
• Extensive knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, NEC standards, and electrical codes. • Hands-on experience with low voltage and high voltage systems in construction or renovation settings. • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, multi meters (including ohmmeters), and other diagnostic equipment.
• Strong blueprint reading skills coupled with the ability to interpret technical schematics accurately. • Construction site experience demonstrating adaptability to dynamic work environments. • Electrical experience related to renovation projects or new construction sites.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in demanding environments while maintaining safety standards. • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in troubleshooting electrical issues.
