Paid Training - Automotive Technician Apprentice

A Brief Overview Join our team as a Technician Apprentice, where you will be trained to become a skilled auto glass technician. Upon successful completion of our comprehensive training program, you'll earn the Safelite SafeTech certification and acquire essential skills for performing glass repair, replacement, and recalibrations independently. What You Will Do • Engage in paid training that combines hands-on experience with classroom learning, focusing on: • Observing and assisting in the installation and repair of auto glass. • Recalibrating automotive safety systems, including troubleshooting and diagnostic testing. • Promoting additional services and products.

• Studying and passing necessary tests to become a certified Safelite Technician, demonstrating proficiency and a positive approach. • Safely operating company and customer vehicles, along with company-issued tools and materials throughout the workday. • Completing other assigned tasks as necessary.

• All necessary tools and resources will be provided to ensure your success. Education Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent Preferred • Valid state-issued driver's license is essential for operating a company vehicle. Experience Qualifications • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Skills and Abilities • Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. • Capability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, and bend or twist the body. • Proficient in using various hand and power tools safely and effectively.

• Ability to operate a motor vehicle according to all laws, while consenting to monitoring via in-cab vehicle safety cameras. • A strong commitment to professionalism and a passion for exceptional customer service. • Comfortable working outdoors in diverse weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
• Willingness to work with chemicals responsibly as per safety protocols. • Promotes flexibility in work hours to meet customer needs. • Comfort with using computerized diagnostic tools for recalibrations and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot clients’ issues both independently and collaboratively. • Ability to read, write, and interpret the English language and technical instructions. • Excellent communication skills in both oral and written formats.
• Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to company dress code and safety policies. • Demonstrates ability to manage performance pressure and maintain high productivity. This position is essential to our service and may involve additional duties as assigned by management.
