Carpenter Apprentice

Job Title: Carpenter Apprentice Job Description We are seeking experienced Finish Carpenters with foreman experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of commercial carpentry experience, as residential experience alone will not suffice due to the scope of our projects. We focus on renovating restaurants, office buildings, medical buildings, warehouses, and schools at a higher level.

We are looking for candidates interested in a long-term opportunity to grow with us and who are innovative and bring their experience and approach. Candidates must be willing to travel out of state for projects when necessary. A commute over 1.5 hours offers a $35/day per diem.

Most projects are located around York, PA, but some may be out of state. Responsibilities • Perform commercial carpentry work, including renovations of restaurants, office buildings, medical buildings, warehouses, and schools. • Install metal hollow doors and door frames.

• Install doors/windows hardware. • Hang and finish drywall. • Work with finish carpentry and rough carpentry tasks.
• Utilize construction tools and techniques such as trim work, drywall, concrete work, and power tools. • Read and interpret blueprints for commercial construction projects. • Perform tasks involving metal studs, tape measures, door installations, and framing.

Work Environment Work on a commercial general construction site alongside a project manager and other subcontractors. Projects include healthcare, restaurant, retail, and commercial buildings.

Utilize basic hand tools and company-supplied power tools to complete tasks. Some projects require travel within a 2 to 3-hour radius of York, PA, offering $35/day per diem for overnight stays. Standard working hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
