About the Role We're seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Fabricator to expertly shape metal components using precision cutting and forming techniques. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in CNC press brake and cutting operations to produce high-quality parts within specified tolerances. Your proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and operating advanced machinery will be crucial to our success.

Responsibilities • Translate blueprints, CAD drawings, and work orders into precise sheet metal components. • Set up and operate CNC press brakes to achieve specified bends and forms on sheet metal parts. • Utilize CNC cutting equipment (laser, router, turret punch, etc.) to create accurate part geometries and hole features.

Execute layout, bending, punching, forming, and notching operations with precision. • Select and install appropriate tooling, adjust machine settings, and validate first-piece quality to ensure adherence to standards. • Conduct thorough in-process inspections using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) to maintain dimensional accuracy.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to troubleshoot fabrication challenges and optimize processes. • Maintain equipment, tooling, and the work area in optimal condition to ensure safety and efficiency. Qualifications Required Skills • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training is a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of sheet metal fabrication experience, with a focus on CNC press brake and CNC cutting equipment. • Demonstrated ability to independently set up and operate CNC press brakes, including tool selection, back gauge setup, programming, and adjustments. • Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Preferred Skills • Experience operating CNC routers, lasers, or turret punches. • Familiarity with various metal types, including aluminum, stainless steel, and cold-rolled steel. • Solid understanding of fabrication principles, setups, and tooling.

Experience with ERP systems and digital work instructions. • Welding knowledge is advantageous, though not a primary job function. • Forklift and crane operation experience.
