Paid Training - Automotive Technician Apprentice

A Brief Overview Join us as a Technician Apprentice and embark on a journey to become a skilled auto glass technician. Our comprehensive training program equips you with essential skills for glass repair, replacement, and recalibration. You'll earn the Safelite SafeTech certification and develop a service-oriented mindset to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

What you will do • Receive paid, hands-on learning and classroom training in the Safelite way. • Observe and assist in the installation and repair of auto glass. • Learn to recalibrate automotive safety systems and conduct diagnostic testing.

• Provide additional services and products to enhance customer satisfaction. • Study and pass tests to become a Safelite-certified Technician, demonstrating proficiency and a positive attitude. • Safely operate company and customer vehicles, as well as utilize company-issued tools and chemicals.
• Perform other assigned duties and comply with all policies and standards. What you'll get: • Competitive weekly pay starting at $25.50/hour, increasing to $30.25/hour upon certification. • Earn $5 for each set of wiper blades added for customer safety.

• All tools and resources provided for your success. Education Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED is preferred. • Valid state-issued driver's license and any additional licenses required to operate company vehicles.

Experience Qualifications • Must be 18 years of age or older. Skills and Abilities • Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in tight spaces.

• Ability to safely use a variety of hand and power tools. • Ability to drive a motor vehicle in compliance with all laws and be monitored via in-cab safety technology. • Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. • Ability to handle chemicals safely, per training guidelines. • Willingness to work flexible hours based on customer needs.
• Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools for recalibrations. • Effective problem-solving skills, both independently and in teams. • Proficient in reading, writing, and interpreting English and technical materials.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Professional appearance and adherence to dress code and safety policies. • Ability to maintain performance under pressure.
