Overview Mertz Plumbing is an established, family-owned plumbing company in the North Hills of Pittsburgh that was founded in 1920. We are currently seeking a motivated, full-time, plumbing apprentice. This position requires a hard working individual that wants to learn the plumbing trade, pays attention to detail, and is able to lift over 75 pounds.

Currently enrolled in plumbing school is a plus. Responsibilities • Assist in the preparation and cleanup of job sites to maintain a safe and organized work environment. • Perform manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials as needed.

Operate basic hand tools and equipment under supervision, ensuring proper use and maintenance. • Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate with team members to complete projects on time. • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks on the job site.
Must pass criminal background check. Qualifications • Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods. • Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment; training will be provided.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to following safety guidelines. • Willingness to learn new skills and take on various tasks as needed.
