Software Engineer I

Software Engineer – Journeyman 1 OM Group, Inc. is hiring a Software Engineer – Journeyman 1 to support the development, enhancement, and integration of mission-critical applications for the OHASIS and Socium GIS platforms. This role is ideal for a technically skilled developer who thrives in collaborative, cross-functional teams and is committed to delivering secure, high-quality solutions for DoD environments.

Responsibilities: • Provide application development, enhancements, and integration services for OHASIS and Socium GIS • Collaborate within a cross-functional team environment • Support web-based application development and integration with geospatial technologies Requirements: • Minimum 4 years of software development experience within the past 10 years • Proficiency in web-based application development languages and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, .NET) • Experience with relational databases, APIs, and geospatial technologies • Experience managing server environments, software configurations, and system security controls • Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements, including RMF and ATO processes. • Familiarity with cloud and on-premises environments • Familiarity with Agile or iterative development methodologies • Proximity to the National Capital Region for occasional onsite work • IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+) • Active Secret Security Clearance • Contingent upon award; expected to begin in January 2026 • Compensation will be determined based on several factors, including relevant experience, education, skills, certifications, and market conditions, with an expected range of $110,000 to $120,000 OM Group, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) committed to compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
