Carpenter Apprentice – Residential Construction

Job Summary Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a motivated and hardworking Carpenter Apprentice to join our residential construction team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in carpentry and learn from experienced professionals. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will assist skilled carpenters in performing tasks related to building, repairing, and finishing wooden structures in residential projects.

Key Responsibilities • * Assist senior carpenters in measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wood and related materials. • * Prepare and organize tools, equipment, and materials for daily work activities. • * Learn and follow safety standards and company procedures at all times.

• Support in building frameworks, furniture, doors, windows, cabinets, and flooring. • * Help with site preparation, clean-up, and maintenance of a safe working environment. • * Follow instructions accurately and demonstrate willingness to learn trade techniques.
• Perform basic calculations, read simple blueprints, and use hand and power tools under supervision. • * Participate in on-the-job training to develop carpentry skills. • Required Skills and Qualifications • * High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory).
• Basic understanding of construction processes and carpentry work. • * Ability to use or willingness to learn hand tools and power tools safely. • * Good physical stamina and ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials.
• Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude toward learning. • * Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. • Experience • * No prior professional experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Previous exposure to construction, woodworking, or manual labor is a plus. • Working Hours • * Full-time position, typically 40 hours per week. • * Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
