Automotive Technician Apprentice

After completing our comprehensive training program, you will earn the Safelite SafeTech certification and acquire essential skills for working independently in glass repair, replacement, and recalibrations. You'll be expected to embrace the Safelite Spirit, providing exceptional service and delivering high-quality, timely job completion to delight our customers. What You Will Do • Engage in hands-on and classroom training, learning the Safelite approach.

• Observe and assist in the installation and repair of auto glass. • Recalibrate automotive safety systems, troubleshooting and conducting diagnostics. • Offer additional services and products as necessary.
• Prepare for Safelite certification exams to demonstrate your installation expertise. • Safely operate company and customer vehicles, as well as utilize company-issued tools and chemicals throughout your day. • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Experience Qualifications • Must be 18 years of age or older. Skills and Abilities • Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds. • Comfortable standing for extended periods, and working in compact spaces.

• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. • Ability to drive in accordance with all laws; consent to monitoring via vehicle cameras is required. • Professionalism and a passion for outstanding customer service.
• Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. • Aptitude for working with chemicals in accordance with company safety protocols. • Flexibility in working scheduled days and adjusting to accommodate customer needs.
• Proficiency in computerized diagnostic tools for recalibrations and troubleshooting. • Strong problem-solving skills for independent and collaborative issue resolution. • Ability to read, write, and understand English, including technical instructions.
