Join us as we strive to create the best workplace for our employees. A Brief Overview As a Technician Apprentice, you will receive comprehensive training to become a skilled auto glass technician. After successfully completing our training program, you will earn the Safelite SafeTech certification and be equipped with essential skills for undertaking glass repair, replacement, and recalibrations independently.

What You Will Do • Be compensated while learning the Safelite methods through practical experience and classroom training, which includes: • Observing and assisting with the installation and repair of auto glass. • Recalibrating automotive safety systems, including troubleshooting and performing diagnostic tests.

• Providing additional services and products to enhance customer safety. • Studying and passing exams to become a Safelite-certified Technician, demonstrating proficiency in installations and a positive attitude. • Safely operating company vehicles, using tools and chemicals essential for your tasks.
• Performing other assigned duties as necessary. • Complying with all policies and standards. What You Will Get: • Competitive weekly pay starting at $20.25/hour, increasing to $24.00/hour upon certification.
• Earn $5 for every set of wiper blades added for customer safety. • A robust benefits package valued at over $10,000, including a 401(k) plan with company matching, medical insurance, paid time off, holidays, and volunteer days. • Opportunities to purchase additional PTO or sell unused time, up to 16 hours.
• Up to $5,250 annually in tuition reimbursement. • Paid training along with all necessary tools and resources for success. Education Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent (preferred).
• A valid state-issued driver's license and any other required licenses to operate a company vehicle (mandatory). Experience Qualifications • At least 18 years of age (required). Skills and Abilities • Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Capacity to stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, and bend or twist as needed. • Skilled in safely and effectively utilizing a variety of hand and power tools. • Capable of operating a motor vehicle in accordance with all laws and agreeing to monitoring via vehicle safety technology.
• Professional with a strong commitment to exceptional customer service. • Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. • Comfortable working with chemicals (as applicable) in accordance with safety protocols.
• Flexible with scheduled workdays and start/end times to meet customer needs. • Proficient with computerized diagnostic tools for recalibrations and troubleshooting. • Effective problem-solver, capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
• Competent in reading and interpreting English technical documentation. • Strong written and oral communication skills. • Maintaining a professional appearance that aligns with company policies.
