Paid Training - Automotive Technician Apprentice

A Brief Overview Join us as an Automotive Technician Apprentice and take the first step towards a fulfilling career in the auto glass industry! Our paid training program will equip you with the skills and knowledge required to become a proficient auto glass technician. Successfully completing the program will earn you the Safelite SafeTech certification, enabling you to perform glass repairs, replacements, and recalibrations independently.

What You Will Do • Participate in hands-on and classroom training to learn the Safelite way. • Observe and assist in the installation and repair of auto glass.

• Gain skills in recalibrating automotive safety systems alongside diagnostic testing. • Study and pass exams to become a Safelite Certified Technician, demonstrating your expertise in installations. • Safely operate company vehicles and utilize provided tools and materials while adhering to safety standards.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned and comply with all company policies. What You'll Get: • Competitive weekly pay starting at $25.50/hour, increasing to $30.25/hour post-training and certification. • Earn extra money with a $5 bonus for each set of wiper blades sold.

• Paid training, along with all necessary tools and resources to ensure your success. Education Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent preferred. • Valid state-issued driver's license and any additional required licenses to operate a company vehicle.

Experience Qualifications • Must be at least 18 years of age. Skills and Abilities • Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. • Capability to stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and perform bending and twisting motions.

• Proficiency in handling and safely using a variety of hand and power tools. • Ability to comply with driving laws and operate a vehicle monitored by safety cameras. • Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service and meeting customer expectations.
• Capability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions. • Experience working with chemicals safely, in line with the Safelite Way of Fitting. • Flexibility to work scheduled hours with varying start and end times to meet customer needs.
• Proficient in using computerized diagnostic tools for recalibrations and troubleshooting. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. • Ability to comprehend written and spoken English including technical instructions.
• Professional communication skills, both verbal and written. • Adherence to the company's dress code and personal protective equipment policies. • Resilience under pressure while maintaining a stable performance in a professional setting.
