As an Engineering Manager, you’ll be responsible for setting strategy, for leading your team to deliver results consistently and sustainably, for growing and developing talented engineers, and for cultivating a healthy, results-driven culture on your team.

What you’ll do as an Engineering Manager at Vanta: - Drive significant impact for our customers and business by leading your team to deliver results consistently and sustainably.

• Build a best-in-class engineering team. Coach, mentor and create an environment where your team can do their best work and deliver for the business. - Set direction and guide technical strategy, ensuring that your team is delivering long-term value aligned with Vanta’s business priorities.
• Work closely with Vanta’s customers and customer-facing teammates to build and ship high-value products and infrastructure. - Play an integral role in laying the foundation for Vanta’s engineering culture. How to be successful in this role: - Have 3+ years of professional experience in a full-time engineering leadership role managing teams of 6-8+ engineers.
• Be a strong decision maker who effectively balances ambiguity, available data, speed, and quality. - Have experience managing and upleveling senior individual contributors. - Have a proven track record of guiding product and long term technical strategy.
• Have participated in developing or driving engineering-wide initiatives (recruiting processes, career frameworks, etc) in a prior role. - Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
