Part-Time Maintenance Technician (Electrical Experience Required)

This role is critical to ensuring our tanning beds, spa equipment, and facilities operate at the highest level of quality, safety, and cleanliness. Position Overview This part-time role focuses on three core areas: • Tanning Bed Repairs & Maintenance • Basic Electrical Work & Troubleshooting • General Facility Upkeep & Small Repairs You will travel between multiple Soleil locations as needed to complete service requests, perform preventative maintenance, and assist with ongoing store improvements. Key Responsibilities Tanning Bed Repairs (Primary Focus) • Diagnose and repair common tanning bed issues (lights, starters, ballasts, fans, wiring, communications, relays) • Replace lamps, acrylics, filters, and bed components • Inspect and maintain bed cooling systems • Ensure T-Max connectivity and timing systems are functioning properly • Perform preventative maintenance on all tanning units to avoid downtime • Keep detailed documentation of repairs performed, parts replaced, and follow-up needs Electrical Work • Perform basic wiring, outlet replacement, power troubleshooting • Assist with connections for fans, lights, signage, and small equipment • Safely diagnose power-related issues with tanning beds and spa equipment • Communicate any electrical risks or limitations to management Facility Upkeep & Repairs • Patch walls, paint, fix trim, adjust doors, and repair minor cosmetic issues • Install shelving, hooks, signage, mirrors, racks, and light fixtures • Perform minor plumbing tasks (tighten fittings, clear sink blockages, replace parts) • Maintain lobby and spa area appearance to align with Soleils luxury standards • Support renovation and relocation projects when requested Schedule & Expectations • Part-Time Flexible hours, typically 1020 hours per week • Must be available for urgent repairs when needed • Travel required between stores (Matawan, Sayreville, Edison, Toms River, Middletown, Flemington, and new stores) • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work safely with tools and equipment • Must provide own basic tools; specialty items will be supplied by Soleil What Makes You a Great Fit • Experience repairing tanning beds highly preferred • Strong understanding of basic electrical principles • Ability to solve problems independently and take initiative • Pride in workmanship, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through • Clear communicator with strong documentation habits • Professional, punctual, and respectful when working in active spa environments Compensation & Perks • Competitive hourly pay based on experience • Flexible scheduling • Supportive, positive team culture • Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding luxury spa brand • Direct contact with leadership for clear communication and expectations
