Masonry Apprentice

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Masonry Apprentice to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in masonry and related trades, providing an excellent opportunity to develop skills in concrete forming, finishing, and various construction techniques. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, safety-conscious, and interested in building a career in the construction industry.

Prior construction site experience or familiarity with blueprint reading and power tools is a plus but not required. This paid apprenticeship allows individuals to gain practical knowledge while contributing to diverse projects such as renovations, restorations, and new builds. Responsibilities • Assist skilled masons with concrete forming, rebar installation, and concrete finishing tasks • Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively • Support the setup and teardown of scaffolding, formwork, and other structural components • Follow blueprints, schematics, and instructions for various masonry projects • Aid in the installation of stucco, plastering, tile laying, and trim carpentry as needed • Participate in renovation and restoration projects involving metal stud framing and roofing • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency on-site • Learn to read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications • Support the team with caulking, framing, welding, and other related tasks under supervision Skills • Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation • Familiarity with construction site safety protocols • Ability to follow detailed instructions from supervisors or blueprints • Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills in masonry and construction trades • Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods • Effective communication skills and teamwork orientation • Interest or experience in concrete forming, concrete finishing, rebar installation, tile laying, or stucco work is advantageous • Ability to read schematics or blueprints is a plus but not mandatory This Masonry Apprentice position provides valuable training in multiple facets of construction while supporting ongoing projects across residential, commercial, or restoration sites.
