Journeyman Plumber - Pipefitter

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Journeyman Plumber - Pipefitter to join our dynamic construction and manufacturing teams. Duties • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble piping systems according to project specifications. • Install, modify, and repair plumbing and pipefitting systems using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques (MIG, FCAW, TIG), and pipe threading equipment.

• Perform welding tasks including MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG welding, and welding to join pipes securely following ASME codes & standards. • Fit fire sprinkler systems and pipeline networks with precision, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and industry standards. • Use calipers, schematics, and basic math skills to measure components accurately for cutting, bending (tube bending), and assembly.
• Conduct maintenance activities on existing piping systems; troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and schematic diagrams. • Rigging pipes or equipment safely for installation or repair tasks on construction sites or manufacturing facilities. • Operate hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and tube benders efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members on construction sites or manufacturing floors to ensure timely project completion while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber or Pipefitter with a strong background in construction site work or manufacturing environments. • Valid journeyman certification or equivalent in plumbing and pipefitting disciplines.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings. • Skilled in welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, TIG; experience with welding preferred. • Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to piping systems and welding procedures.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, calipers, rigging equipment, and pipe threading machines safely. • Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in HVAC systems, tube bending, soldering, pipeline assembly, and maintenance tasks. • Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations involved in pipe fitting and installation tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently on-site or in the shop setting.
