Sheet Metal Mechanic

Overview We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be able to shape and form a variety of thicknesses of sheet metal to meet specific job requirements. The role requires experience in the use of press brakes, shears, notchers, punch presses and other metal working tools.

The candidate should have the ability to read drawings and determine the correct course of action for each job. We specialize in the fabrication of custom stainless steel equipment. The hired candidate will serve an important role in our shop and play a large part in the high quality products we produce.

Responsibilities • Fabricate sheet metal components according to customer specifications and drawings using press brakes, shears and other metal working machines / instruments • Pull selected materials from inventory per project requirements • Change dies on press brake to meet specific job requirement • Use measuring instruments to ensure precise fitting and alignment • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area to ensure a safe working environment • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively Experience • Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or in a similar role within manufacturing or industrial settings • Familiarity with reading drawings • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical instructions • Prior experience working with sheet metal fabrication equipment is required • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off Work Location: In person
