About the Team The Instrument Authoring Experience (IAX) team manages the central platform that records and tracks all of Capital One's financial transactions.

This internal, cloud-based platform is the definitive "System-of-Record" for the company, managing the essential services that handle transaction input, financial accounting, and data consistency. We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to take ownership of this critical core platform. What You’ll Do In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our platform capabilities perform perfectly in real-time, delivering on our product goals.

You will go beyond just managing tasks to become a technical leader who understands how transaction data, configuration settings, and business rules work together to create a smooth, reliable experience. Platform Delivery and Execution: Drive the successful, end-to-end delivery of product features through the IAX platform, managing their entire lifecycle from initial idea to live production deployment. You will ensure the core accounting rules and data flows (inputs and outputs) are executing accurately in production.

Technical Detail and Design: Lead detailed planning sessions with engineering to define monitoring needs and standard data fields. You must be comfortable diving into the technical specifications of data structures and system interfaces (APIs). Strategic Communication: Create high-quality presentations that translate complex technical progress into clear, compelling updates for executive audiences.

You can build the presentation, articulate the value, and gain buy-in for the team's vision. System Reliability: Monitor live processes to ensure stability and troubleshoot any real-time issues. You will help pinpoint whether failures are due to the platform itself or the specific business logic being run, ensuring our financial record system remains accurate and fully auditable.

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 for Manager, Product Management New York, NY: $179,700 - $205,100 for Manager, Product Management Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
