STAFF, SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Position Summary... What you'll do... About Team: Marketplace Engineering team is at the forefront of building core platforms and services to enable Walmart to deliver vast selection at competitive prices and with best in class post-order experience by enabling third-party sellers to list, sell and manage their products to our customers on walmart.com.

We do this by managing the entire seller lifecycle, monitoring customer experience, and delivering high-value insights to our sellers to help them plan their assortment, price, inventory. The team also actively collaborates with partner platform teams to ensure we continue to deliver the best experience to our sellers and our customers. What you'll do: Guide the team in architectural decisions and best practices for building scalable applications.

Drive design, development, implementation and documentation Build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting associates of Walmart worldwide. Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community. Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.

Drive the success of the implementation by applying technical skills, to design and build enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives. Work closely with the Architects and cross functional teams and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery). Within the established architectural guidelines.

Work with senior leadership to chart out the future roadmap of the products Participate in hiring and build teams enabling them to be high performing agile teams. Interact closely for requirements with Business owners and technical teams both within India and across the globe. What you'll bring: 10+ years of experience in development of highly - scalable applications and platform development.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Experience in Leading the Technical team with a strong communication skill Experience designing and implementing REST API web services using Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC Strong in writing modular and testable code and test cases (unit, functional and integration) using frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, and Mock MVC Experience developing micro-services architecture, and good understanding of distributed concepts, common design principles, design patterns and cloud applications. Experience in troubleshooting critical production issues at the plaform level Experience designing and testing RDBMS and No SQL databases Experience in working with Caching technology like Redis, Mem cache or other related Systems. Experience in working with Kafka .

Experience in working with GraphQL and REST APIs.
