Data Cloud & Marketing Cloud Senior Technical Architect DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Salesforce Professional Services focuses on delivering strategic engagements that define transformational opportunities and articulate clear plans for execution of change programs. We rely on our team’s expertise and specialisms to engage with executive-level customers to agree on specific business goals and actions to ignite the full value of Salesforce. Our approach considers people, process, and technology — and a successful engagement includes recommendations to the business for change to support deeper, more relevant use of the Salesforce platform.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE Salesforce is currently seeking a Data Cloud & Marketing Cloud Technical Architect to join our Professional Services team within the Customer Success Group (CSG). This role is centered on being a "Data" subject matter expert, leading the design and implementation of enterprise-grade Data Management solutions. While Data Cloud (Data 360) expertise is a must , the ideal candidate will also possess a strong background in Salesforce Marketing Cloud to drive cross-cloud success.

The Technical Architect is responsible for architecting scalable solutions across enterprise landscapes, ensuring data is democratized and ready for enterprise AI usage. You will work closely with Project Managers and Technical Architects to ensure on-time, fully functioning integrations. The ideal candidate thrives in an entrepreneurial atmosphere, communicates tactfully with business operations, and effectively designs, tests, and deploys complex software solutions.

You must be an excellent communicator who can tailor delivery to a variety of audiences and communicate both in English and Italian fluently . YOUR IMPACT Through our extended onboarding program of formal certification, internal training, knowledge transfer, hands-on experience and closely working with other Consultants, Architects and Project Managers you will become a Salesforce Domain Authority at the forefront of our offerings, delivering outstanding customer success. Be come a Trusted SME: Act as the primary authority for Data Cloud to support project delivery, including how data architecture relates to the success of Agentforce and AI.

Strategic Design: Drive the creation of application and technical design documents (Blueprints/FSD) which leverage Salesforce best practices and effectively integrate Salesforce into the customer’s infrastructure. Data Democratization: Design and guide customer's enterprise data architecture, highlighting the importance of Data Governance and ensuring solutions adhere to security and privacy regulations. Technical Excellence: Provide guidance on integration development best practices, Enterprise Architecture standards, and environment management.

Lead code reviews and define coding standards (SQL, SSJS, AMPScript). Stakeholder Management: Facilitate and influence Executive Customer stakeholders while aligning technology strategy to business value and ROI. Risk Mitigation: Troubleshoot key customer implementation issues and demonstrate the ability to drive to a successful resolution through proactive risk management.

`REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Data Cloud Expertise: Direct experience designing and configuring the Data Cloud (Data 360) platform to enable enterprise use cases (Ingestion, Unified Profile, Insights, and Activation). Architectural Proficiency: Deep knowledge in MDM, Data Distribution, and Data Modeling concepts, with a strong understanding of metadata and lineage. Solution Documentation: Ability to clearly and articulately document solutions, including data flows, engineering flowcharts, and technical artifacts.

Requirement Translation: Ability to create a solution based on client requirements and map Business Processes into our technical product suite (e.g., mapping Data Cloud DMOs to Marketing Cloud Data Extensions). Cross-Cloud Integration: Knowledge of API patterns (REST/SOAP) and experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems (ETL, CRM, Data Lakes). Technical Leadership: Lead inter-team meetings on technical and business challenges; conduct solutions testing and validation.

Language Skills: Proficiency in English AND Italian languages is mandatory. Mobility: Travel to client sites for onsite discovery and solutions presentations (estimated 25% - 50%). Education: Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.

PREFERRED Marketing Cloud Mastery: 2+ years of direct experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio). Knowledge of AMPScript and SSJS is a strong plus. AI & Personalization: Familiarity with Agentforce Marketing and Marketing Cloud Personalization (formerly Interaction Studio).

Strategic Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, able to present complex concepts at both tactical and executive levels. Data Background: 10+ years in data architecture or consulting, with a focus on relational data models and complex SQL syntax. Ecosystem Knowledge: Familiarity with external Data Platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, GCP) and functional domains such as Finance, Telco, or Retail.

Certifications: * Mandatory/Highly Regarded: Salesforce Certified Data Cloud Consultant. Preferred: Salesforce Certified Data Architect, Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, and Marketing Cloud Consultant. Adaptability: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, fluid environment and remain "scrappy" as we scale and evolve our team.
