Senior Associate, Credit Card Product Marketing (Hybrid) Capital One, a Fortune Magazine “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is seeking an innovative Senior Associate to drive product marketing strategy for Discover card products. This individual will curate acquisitions experiences that meet the needs of the everyday consumer looking to access credit and earn rewards. This role will be responsible for translating audience insights into marketing optimizations, designing learning agendas and collaborating with partners to launch new tactics.

The marketer will be a member of the Discover Acquisition Marketing team which is responsible for managing the product positioning for credit cards and developing acquisition journeys to help customers find the right product for their lifestyle. Craft marketing strategy for credit card acquisitions, from building consideration through conversion Synthesize consumer research insights, marketing trends, competitive landscape, and macro external factors to identify new strategic recommendations to improve marketing, business results and brand impact Collaborate with business analyst teams to understand total business performance and build on analysis to identify new opportunities and adjust marketing/testing strategies Serve as key liaison for and collaborate with cross-functional teams including business, channel/performance marketing, product marketing, creative, legal, operations and corporate communications partners on claims and messaging strategies Translate and communicate business intent in a directive manner that partner teams can act on Partner with internal and external creative and marketing technology teams to build and scale marketing tactics and optimization to drive lifts in KPIs, particularly conversion metrics Champion the brand, ensuring that the strategies and messaging for each of our credit cards are in line with their respective audience’s needs Write clear and concise creative briefs, test documents, test plans and strategies, driving continued performance and optimization against KPIs across channels The ideal candidate: Thrives on collaboration with partner teams and is comfortable operating in a large, matrixed organization Has experience working with colleagues at varying levels, including senior leadership Can operate in white space with limited support and contribute to the agenda Is naturally curious, always seeking to know the why behind the why Can manage the details of multiple projects, deadlines and changing priorities, while maintaining excellent and accurate work Is a highly effective communicator and skilled relationship-builder who can influence internal decision makers with formal recommendations and informal networking Does not shy away from data but rather leans into it to inform marketing and creative strategy recommendations Continually pushes the boundaries and asks how we can continue to do things better, identifying areas of opportunity Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience At least 2 years of experience in product marketing or multi-channel digital marketing At least 2 years of experience developing marketing test frameworks, driving optimization plans and strategy At least 2 years of experience managing marketing intent, partnering with creative and channel teams, and developing strategies and briefs Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or Communications At least 1 year of experience marketing for financial services or another highly regulated industry At least 1 year of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment with a track record of effectively working autonomously and navigating ambiguity At least 1 year of experience working with marketing tech platforms, including data management platforms or customer relationship management systems At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago, IL: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Associate, Marketing McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 for Sr. Associate, Marketing Riverwoods, IL: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr.

Associate, Marketing Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
