We are looking for an outstanding Senior Machine Learning Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers and researchers in designing, developing, and delivering high-impact GenAI products and customization capabilities for Firefly models. This role will drive the translation of innovative research into scalable, enterprise-grade solutions that empower the next generation of creators and marketers. As an Applied ML Research Manager, you will lead a team operating at the intersection of SOTA research, industry applications, and real-world deployment – shaping the future of our Brand Intelligence Layer powering GenAI features across Adobe’s ecosystem.

You will join a highly collaborative engineering organization, working closely with product, design, and strategic partners. You will be responsible for setting technical direction, growing a high-performing team, and delivering measurable business impact through AI innovation. What you'll do Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Applied ML engineers and researchers working on GenAI and language model-based systems Oversee the research, development, and deployment of SOTA ML models into production systems Act as a hands-on technical ML leader, contributing to architecture, prototyping, and critical path development Drive innovation in emerging areas such as context engineering and agentic AI workflows Establish and enforce high-quality standards for evaluation (accuracy, robustness, safety) and ensure high-quality model performance Partner closely with product, UX, and business collaborators to translate AI capabilities into enterprise-grade features Collaborate with AI research teams to identify emerging technologies and convert them into impactful prototypes and products Establish standard methodologies for model development and scalable productionization Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and customer-centric thinking What you need to succeed B.S.

or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field 10+ years of experience in ML, with hands-on experience in leading ML teams, building and deploying ML models in production Strong track record as a hands-on technical ML leader (actively coding, reviewing, and designing ML systems) Deep expertise in training, fine-tuning, and optimizing LLMs and large-scale models Demonstrated expertise in training, fine-tuning, and optimizing LLMs and large-scale models Strong proficiency in Python and deep knowledge of modern ML frameworks and infrastructure Experience driving end-to-end delivery of AI/ML solutions from research to production Strong critical thinking with the ability to balance long-term innovation and near-term execution Excellent communication and collaborator management skills across technical and non-technical audiences Passion for advancements in AI and a track record of delivering impactful, production-grade AI solutions About Adobe Adobe empowers everyone to create through innovative platforms and tools that unleash creativity, productivity and personalized customer experiences.
