As a Senior Risk Manager in Capital One's Card business, you will apply your risk, project management, and analytical skills to drive strategy and execute on high priority platform modernization projects. You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. General Responsibilities: Leading large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to tech modernization projects and peers Designing, developing, and managing project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements Ensuring projects are being documented appropriately to mitigate risk and to be delivered on time Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments Exhibiting outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts Demonstrating a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment Having excellent communication and partnership skills, which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes ​ Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or military experience At least 5 years of Risk or Project Management Experience in Financial Services, Technology, Audit, Digital or Consulting At least 3 years of experience supporting, partnering or interacting with internal business clients Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree or MBA 6+ years of Project Management experience 5+ years of experience with project management platforms (JIRA, MS Project, Confluence) 4+ years of experience supporting, partnering or interacting with internal business clients 4+ years of People Management experience Lean, Agile, Six Sigma or Business Process Management Risk Management ​ At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location.

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. McLean, VA: $177,700 - $202,800 for Sr.

Risk Manager Richmond, VA: $161,500 - $184,300 for Sr. Risk Manager Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
