Our tax team focuses on all aspects of tax reporting including enhancing productivity and efficiency of core compliance through process and technology, monitoring tax risk and opportunities across all tax disciplines, engaging and educating Finance and the broader organization regarding tax considerations, and prioritizing team resources to support key work streams. As a Lead Tax Specialist in Property Tax, you will be responsible for assisting managers and Tax Analysts in the preparation of real estate and personal property tax bills for Target. The Analyst will assist in accurately maintaining the property tax database records, including but not limited to property assessments, tax payments, tax appeals, and refunds.

You will support in ensuring all tax bills have been received for timely payment. You will also assist in continually seeking ways to streamline manual processes and look for process efficiencies by utilizing automation tools and technology such as OCR, bots and Alteryx. In this role, you will leverage your property tax expertise, communication skills, and business process knowledge when assisting Managers and Tax Analysts in Property tax with property tax inquires.

Job duties may change at any time due to business needs. Requirements  1-2 years degree or equivalent combination of professional education and experience.  Previous experience in International / US Property tax or property accounting, or equivalent experience in a large corporate tax department is preferred.

 Experience with iTAM Link or similar property tax software and SAP or similar ERP software is preferred.  Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining appropriate prioritization and ensuring adherence to deadlines.  Strong written and verbal communication skills.

 Detail oriented, organized and efficient in work processes.  Strong technical skills, ability to work within multiple systems, and high proficiency with Microsoft applications.
