Street Light Apprentice / Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Climb utility poles safely and efficiently • Excavate trenches and holes for cable and pull box installation • Work safely around energized equipment and hazardous conditions • Perform lighting maintenance, including bulb replacement and troubleshooting • Establish work zones with proper traffic control measures • Assist with ground-level material assembly and preparation • Perform work at heights with efficiency and precision • Operate a variety of hand and power tools as required • Utilize meters and testing equipment on systems up to 600 volts Minimum Requirements: • Ability to work at various heights • Safe and efficient operation of a bucket truck • Strong work ethics, displaying initiative, adaptability, and integrity • Work 40+ hours per week to include during inclement weather, holidays, and/or weekends as needed • Willing to work overtime, travel long distances on short notice for storm and/or emergency events as needed • Must be able to lift 100 lbs. on a regular basis • Must be able to push, pull, bend, stoop, and kneel on a regular basis • Must have a current, valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a Class A CDL within 6 months • Must successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen • Previous Street Light repair and maintenance experience preferred What you'll get at AUI Inc: • Excellent healthcare options: Medical, vision, prescriptions, employee assistance program, and more!
