About the Role: As a Director, Software Communications, on the Global Enterprise Communications team, you will lead strategic communications initiatives that support the Capital One Software business. You’ll manage high-impact programs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and work with internal and external partners to deliver creative and effective communication strategies. This position requires exceptional leadership, judgment, teamwork, and results focus.

An open mind and a passion for finding creative new ways to solve problems and deliver results are essential to the success of this role. Primary Responsibilities: Serve as a strategic advisor to internal leaders and partners on communications initiatives. Lead planning and execution of data-backed, integrated communications campaigns aligned with enterprise and line-of-business priorities.

Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Drive media relations efforts to secure visibility in priority outlets. Leverage data to evaluate results, extract insights and optimize future programs Oversee team operations, including budgeting and development of best practices.

Stay informed about industry trends to inform and enhance communication strategies Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or military experience At least 8 years of communications experience Preferred Qualifications: 9+ years of experience in public relations or communications, the financial services or technology industries. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location.

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. McLean, VA: $190,300 - $217,200 for Director, Communications Plano, TX: $173,000 - $197,400 for Director, Communications Richmond, VA: $173,000 - $197,400 for Director, Communications Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
