Maintenance Technician Apprentice/Entry-level Maintenance Department Reports to The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Manager Intro to Cellone’s Bakery Cellone’ Italian Bread Co. is looking for Maintenance Technicians! Cellone’s bakes fresh Italian breads and rolls at our 110,000 sq ft commercial bakery in Pittsburgh, PA.

Our bakers produce around 6,000 loaves of bread an hour. Job Description The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair of equipment within the building and all building maintenance so that it functions in a safe and efficient manner. Requirements Candidates must be willing to work training period shifts and/or rotating shifts for this position • Training period shifts to include: 2 weeks -2 months of 1st 2nd or 3rd shift before being placed on a permanent shift All entry – level positions will receive onboard training and appropriate supervision.

Pay and Benefits • Pay $___/hour + $1.50 night shift premium, commensurate with experience • Annual boot allowance • 401k with company match • Paid time off Responsibilities and Duties: • Repair and perform preventive maintenance on machinery. • Use mechanical and electrical equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, refrigeration systems, scissor lift. • Visually inspect and test machinery and powered equipment using electronic testing equipment and hand tools.

• Listen and observe the operation of machines and equipment to detect malfunctions and diagnose problems. • Maintain and repair plant building and grounds. • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other machine parts using a pressure washer, brushes, grease gun and gear lubricant dispenser.
• Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment. • Operate cutting torches and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. • Maintain safe, clean, work area.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, wire schematics and technical manuals. • Maintain detailed summary sheets of tasks performed regarding preventive maintenance, diagnoses of problems and repairs performed on equipment. • Safely install, maintain, upgrade 3-phase motor control systems, and AC/DC circuits.
• Perform all required operations to install, maintain and repair a wide variety of plant equipment and accessories. • Adhering to safety procedures and policies and wearing professional protective gear when necessary. • Must adhere to good manufacturing practices while working on production/food processing equipment.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as needed and assigned. Minimum Qualifications: • High School or GED required • At least 2 years’ experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment • 2 years’ experience in one of the following fields: food industry, packaging, manufacturing, conveyor systems, automation systems • Experience in; aptitude to learn about fabrication capabilities such as cutting and welding (mig, tig or stick) • Experience in; aptitude to learn about working with electrical systems including 480VAC, 240 VAC, 120VAC, 24VAC and 24VDC power • Experience in; aptitude to learn about replacing and programming VFD’s, servo motors and controllers, PLC input/output cards and safety modules • Effective communication of issues and solutions to cross-functional team members • Able to use shop equipment including assorted power tools • Proficient skills with precision measuring equipment, such as calipers and tape measure
