Senior Associate, Financial Planning & Analysis We are seeking a driven and analytically curious teammate to join our Staff and Enterprise Services finance team. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will work for a company that invests in ways to tell stories, view trends, and diagnose results in a more compelling and visual nature. Senior Financial Analysts perform financial data analysis to provide insights that help stakeholders drive forward their agenda while ensuring they meet their financial commitments. Core Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) duties include managing monthly processes and forecasts, performing reporting and analysis to support presentations for senior business partners and other key stakeholders, conduct scenario planning to strategically advise leaders, and lead project work that stretches across the business. An ideal candidate will possess strong communication, problem solving, strategic thinking, and influencing skills in order to effectively: - Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insights - Develop presentations to communicate business and analysis results to senior audiences Responsibilities: - Financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and Profit & Loss (P&L) management - Collaborate with system analysts to maintain and develop system to house models - Coordinate and collect input data from Financial Analysts in different departments, check data integrity, summarize and convert data, run models, verify, analyze, and communicate output data - Business presentations: Assist in development of presentations to communicate analysis results to senior audiences, clearly articulate outcomes of analysis to leadership teams - Ad-hoc requests and special projects - Independently manage and prioritize workload - Perform financial data analysis in preparing Profit & Loss or other statements - Frequently create reports for higher level associates - Provide management and business clients with project statuses - Perform reporting and analysis to support presentation and ad-hoc requests Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree or military experience - At least 2 years of experience in financial analysis - At least 2 years of experience with financial modeling Preferred Qualifications: - Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s Degree in Finance - Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license - 3+ years of experience in financial analysis - 3+ years of experience with financial modeling At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 for Sr. Financial Analyst Richmond, VA: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Financial Analyst Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
