Overview Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist (National Certified Phlebotomy Technician) to work in our Bronx-based family medicine practice — St. Lawrence Community Health Center. Individuals must have a Medical Assistant Certificate/Training Program Completed AND a National Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification to qualify.

Bilingual English/Bengali OR English/Spanish language skills required. Responsibilities • Process blood draws, collect specimens and process lab orders. • Prepare examination rooms and equipment.

Obtain vital signs, chief complaints, medical history and accurately record in medical records. • Complete referrals and discharge patients. • Assist providers and nurses during all aspects of exams.
Assist provider with treatments. • Schedule appointments, verify insurance and demographic information. Qualifications • Medical Assistant Certificate/Training Program and National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) • Bilingual Spanish/English or English/Bengali required.
High School Diploma or GED required. • Computer literacy. • Responsible individual who genuinely wants to support our patients.

Compensation and Schedule Starting compensation: Minimum: $23.00/hour; Maximum: $23.00/hour; Additional $1,500/year in differential pay. Onsite in the Bronx, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
