Mechanic Apprentice

Responsibilities • Support the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment, and automotive systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and hydraulics • Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other shop tools to perform repairs and assembly tasks • Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify issues related to air brakes, alignment, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, diesel engines, and tire service • Learn to interpret schematics and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting electrical systems and automotive diagnostics • Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts. • Support the team in performing preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of all machinery and vehicles Experience • Previous equipment service technician experience is highly desirable but not mandatory; we value enthusiasm to learn!

• Basic mechanical knowledge with familiarity in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools • Exposure to fabrication processes or working with excavators, cranes, or other industrial machinery is a plus • Experience with automotive repair including brake repair, tire service, transmissions, hydraulics or suspension systems will be advantageous • Strong willingness to learn electrical systems such as HVAC controls or vehicle wiring harnesses • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments • Customer service skills are appreciated as you'll be supporting clients with their maintenance needs during your training period This paid Mechanic Apprentice position offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical expertise while contributing to the maintenance of vital machinery.
