Responsibilities for Certified Nurse Aide • Demonstrate current knowledge of proper transfer techniques to include the use of mechanical lifts (Hoyer) and how to practice fall prevention techniques. • Help patients with personal hygiene and care such as bathing, grooming, and dressing, and bowel and bladder care • Take and record patient vital signs and weight • Observe and record patients’ conditions, food and liquid intake and other behavior, and report changes to supervisor • Help patients walk with canes, walkers, or other devices • Make beds, and maintain clean and safe environments for patients • Lift, transport, and move patients using the appropriate techniques • Treat all patients, family, and other visitors with respect, and engage with them in a tactful manner at all times • Comply with all safety and health regulations • Valid driver’s license with clean DMV record.

Physical and mental ability to drive a vehicle. • Access to an insured and reliable vehicle Qualifications for Certified Nurse Aide • High school diploma or GED preferred • Must hold current CNA certification in the state of practice • Basic computer skills and access to a personal email • Prior work experience in a direct patient care setting or in a long-term care facility preferred • Provide proof and maintain up to date with the state mandated regulation of in-service education or training for caregivers of at least 12 hours annually. • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate written instructions in English.
