Anduril’s Missiles Manufacturing team is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer, Missiles to lead the development of manufacturing processes for our advanced defense products. This team is responsible for rapidly iterating and producing cutting-edge technology for advanced missiles.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Manufacturing Engineer, Missiles you will play a key role in shaping the manufacturing design for Anduril’s Missile division. Your core responsibilities include ensuring the highest production quality and supporting the development and implementation of new products for several program designs. The role encompasses the entire manufacturing value chain, including Design for Manufacturability, tool design and selection, process creation and optimization, vendor sourcing and collaboration, quality planning, and documentation for hardware production.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Execute the manufacturing of a certain product or set of products, from initial prototyping through large full-scale production.
  • Work with design engineers during the development process to drive design for manufacturing best practices into the design effort, and help facilitate the transition from design to prototype to rate production.
  • Own documentation required for successfully manufacturing product group hardware at scale, such as MBOM’s, work instructions & requirements, etc.
  • Advise on quality management and business application programs as they pertain to manufacturing within your area.
  • Collaborate with internal customers and manufacturing planning teams to define capacity planning actions to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Develop production and test methodologies and implement best practices to enable scaling production capabilities for larger, more complex products.
  • Travel to suppliers and partner sites to do initial sourcing work, solve ongoing production issues, and implement process procedures as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science.
  • 3+ years in manufacturing or similar prototyping position.
  • An attitude of world-class mission assurance, quality, attention to detail, and dedication.
  • A genuine interest in manufacturing and thirst for learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively deliver hardware in a resource-constrained environment.
  • Personal experience physically manufacturing hardware via any means (machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, etc.). Work on personal or extracurricular projects is a plus.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Harness & PCBA fabrication experience including prior work with or setup/modification/monitoring SMT processes.
  • Hands-on experience with R/C and/or autonomous flight vehicles, flight controllers, or other related control systems.
  • Current active U.S. Secret security clearance

US Salary Range
$129,000$171,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
