Job Description

The People Team is a global team responsible for helping Asana scale with clarity, focus, and impact. We partner closely with leaders across the company to enable performance, develop talent, and build systems that support strong execution and a great employee experience. Our work spans talent and performance management, rewards, employee relations, people partnerships, and people analytics.

As the People Analytics Partner, you will play a critical role in helping the People Team solve complex problems using data and insights. This role is embedded in People Team initiatives—not operating as a back-office reporting function, but as an active partner on high-priority projects. You’ll work closely with People leaders to analyze challenges, inform decisions, and support execution through clear, actionable analytics.

This role is based in our Vancouver office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements.

What you’ll achieve

  • Partner closely with People leaders across Talent, Performance, Rewards, People Partners, and Employee Relations on high-impact projects
  • Use analytics to diagnose problems, identify patterns and risks, and evaluate options related to performance, engagement, retention, manager effectiveness, and workforce planning
  • Contribute analytics throughout the lifecycle of People projects—from early exploration through execution and follow-up
  • Translate data into clear insights and recommendations leaders can act on
  • Build dashboards, tools, or models when they directly support decision-making
  • Improve data quality, consistency, and usability across People analytics
  • Help ensure insights are used to drive focus, prioritization, and follow-through

About you:

  • 7+ years of experience as an analytics individual contributor, ideally in People, HR, or organizational analytics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort working through ambiguity and imperfect data
  • Ability to connect quantitative data to real organizational challenges and decisions
  • Experience using SQL, spreadsheets, BI tools (e.g., Tableau), and survey data
  • Clear communicator who can explain insights and recommendations to non-technical audiences
  • Strong project orientation and ability to manage multiple initiatives at once
  • Bias toward action and outcomes over analysis for its own sake
  • Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making

At Asana, we're committed to building teams that include a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, as this is critical to helping us achieve our mission. If you're interested in this role and don't meet every listed requirement, we still encourage you to apply.

What we’ll offer

Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $132,000 - $150,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits. If you're interviewing for this role, speak with your recruiter to learn more about the total compensation and benefits for this role.

We strive to provide equitable and competitive benefits packages that support our employees worldwide and include:

  • Mental health, wellness & fitness benefits
  • Career coaching & support
  • Inclusive family building benefits
  • Long-term savings or retirement plans
  • In-office culinary options to cater to your dietary preferences

These are just some of the benefits we offer, and benefits may vary based on role, country, and local regulations. If you're interviewing for this role, speak with your recruiter to learn more about the total compensation and benefits for this role.

We now show two types of job listings

Same commitment to real jobs. More opportunities for you. Here's how it works.

✓ Verified Employer-Verified Posts

These jobs were posted directly to RJRP by the employer. The company has been verified through our multi-step process. This is our gold standard — the employer is real, the job is real, and you can apply with confidence.

✓ 100% employer verified
🔍 Observed Market-Observed Roles

These roles were detected through employer hiring systems like Workday. They haven't been verified by the employer directly, so we score each one using our Hiring Activity Score — an algorithm that analyzes freshness, specificity, company hiring patterns, and more to estimate whether the role is actively being filled.

📊 Only high-scoring listings are shown

Our promise hasn't changed. We will never show you a listing we can't stand behind. Market-observed roles must pass our scoring threshold before they appear on RJRP. Anything that looks like a ghost job, a talent pipeline, or a dead listing gets filtered out — you'll never see it.
