This position is responsible for operating welding equipment to build high quality parts, subassemblies, and finished product.

Weldments vary in type, size, and direction and are performed on a variety of production lines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Adjust welding machine settings to proper weld configurations • Use tools such as grinders, needle guns, wire wheels, etc. for cleanliness of finished welds • Heats and forms metal parts and components using hand tools, torch, or welding equipment • Welds components in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions • Accurately operate and read measuring devices • Assemble and weld various metal parts together • Properly position material/parts to be welded • Train and work in various areas of production in response to production demands • Follow verbal and written work instructions including ability to read blueprints • Attention to detail necessary to adhere to quality standards • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules, and proper 6S standards • Work in both team and individual settings • Regular attendance required • All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Must receive a passing score on the Welder Qualification test and recertify skills as required by program guidelines • Must have completed a weld class / curriculum Oshkosh is committed to working with and offering reasonable accommodations to job applicants with disabilities.
