Job Description

Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.

The Community You Will Join:

The Anti-Discrimination & Equity team is a core part of that mission–focused on identifying and mitigating potential experience gaps and advancing best practices in inclusive design across Product, Design, Machine Learning, and AI.

As a Platform Product Manager for Anti-Discrimination & Equity, you will shape the systems and capabilities that enable success for all Airbnb users. You will design scalable, intelligent solutions that balance operational efficiency with equitable user experience.

In this role, you’ll partner closely with engineering, data science, and operations teams to deliver platform products, including cutting-edge AI/ML-powered solutions, innovative data tools, automated governance and risk assessment technologies, and adaptive solutions that evolve with new risks and advance new opportunities . Your work will directly strengthen the trust and integrity that make Airbnb a place where anyone can belong.

The Difference You Will Make:

As a Platform Product Manager on the Defense Platform, you will define the vision, strategy, and execution for products that power safety and integrity across Airbnb. You will partner with engineers, data scientists, designers, and operations experts to build intelligent, scalable platform solutions that identify emerging risks, prevent bad actors, and reduce friction for trusted users. Your work will ensure our defenses are adaptive, automated, and seamlessly integrated across the Airbnb ecosystem.

A Typical Day:

  • Define and deliver a compelling product vision and roadmap for Anti-Discrimination and Equity products.
  • Lead a cross-functional group of engineers, data scientists, designers, operations experts, policy leaders, and product partners to drive alignment, execution, and measurable impact.
  • Manage the product backlog and prioritization process, balancing business value, risk reduction, and user experience.
  • Establish clear goals, metrics, and success criteria in partnership with Anti-Discrimination and Equity and cross-functional leadership.
  • Communicate strategy, progress, and insights effectively to stakeholders across all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Leverage data-driven experimentation and measurement frameworks to continuously improve scaled platform products and decision systems.
  • Collaborate closely with teams across Tech, Global Operations, Policy, Product, Legal, Reputation, and Shared Services to ensure alignment, manage dependencies, and streamline execution.

Your Expertise:

  • 8+ years of product management experience, ideally in platform, anti-discrimination & equity, trust & safety, or risk domains.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence across diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with a strong bias toward data-informed decision-making.
  • Experience driving hypothesis-based product development and iterative learning.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Proven success influencing without authority and driving alignment across global, cross-functional teams.

We now show two types of job listings

Same commitment to real jobs. More opportunities for you. Here's how it works.

✓ Verified Employer-Verified Posts

These jobs were posted directly to RJRP by the employer. The company has been verified through our multi-step process. This is our gold standard — the employer is real, the job is real, and you can apply with confidence.

✓ 100% employer verified
🔍 Observed Market-Observed Roles

These roles were detected through employer hiring systems like Workday. They haven't been verified by the employer directly, so we score each one using our Hiring Activity Score — an algorithm that analyzes freshness, specificity, company hiring patterns, and more to estimate whether the role is actively being filled.

📊 Only high-scoring listings are shown

Our promise hasn't changed. We will never show you a listing we can't stand behind. Market-observed roles must pass our scoring threshold before they appear on RJRP. Anything that looks like a ghost job, a talent pipeline, or a dead listing gets filtered out — you'll never see it.
