Paid Training - Automotive Technician Apprentice

After completing our program, you will earn the Safelite SafeTech certification and acquire essential skills for independent glass repairs, replacements, and recalibrations. What You Will Do • Get paid while learning the Safelite way through hands-on and classroom training.

• Assist in installing and repairing auto glass, observing best practices. • Learn to recalibrate automotive safety systems, troubleshooting, and performing diagnostic testing. • Offer additional services and products to enhance customer safety.
• Study and pass tests to achieve Safelite certification, demonstrating your proficiency and positive attitude. • Safely operate company vehicles and utilize company-issued tools and chemicals during work. • Perform other duties as assigned.
• Follow all company policies and standards diligently. What You'll Get: • Competitive weekly pay starting at $21.25/hour, increasing to $25.25/hour upon training completion and certification. • Earn bonus pay for added customer safety features, such as $5 for each set of wiper blades installed.
• A benefits package worth over $10k*, including 401(k) with company matching, medical plans, paid time off, holidays, and volunteer days. • Options to purchase additional paid time off or sell unused time, up to 16 hours. • Up to $5,250 per year in tuition reimbursement.
• All necessary training and tools provided for your success. Education Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED preferred. • Valid state-issued driver's license and any required licenses to operate a company vehicle.

Experience Qualifications: • Must be 18 years of age or older. Skills and Abilities: • Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and work in tight spaces.

• Skill in safely and effectively using a range of hand and power tools. • Capability to operate a vehicle in compliance with all safety laws and regulations. • Maintain professionalism and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods. • Experience working with chemicals safely, including flammable substances. • Flexibility to work during scheduled days with variable start and end times based on customer needs.
• Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools for recalibrations and troubleshooting. • Proficient in reading, writing, and interpreting instructions in English. • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
