We are looking for a motivated Welder Helper/Apprentice to assist our welding team with various tasks while learning the trade. This position is subject to emergency off hours calls, unfavorable weather, heights, and confined spaces. Responsibilities: • Assist welders in preparing materials, tools, and work areas • Transport and set up welding equipment and materials • Clean and grind metal surfaces to prepare for welding • Hold, position, and clamp workpieces during welding operations • Operate basic hand and power tools safely • Maintain a clean and organized work environment • Follow safety procedures and wear proper protective gear • Learn and develop welding skills through hands-on training Requirements: • Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced welders • Basic understanding of hand and power tools • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions (heat, noise, etc.) • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail • Ability to follow safety protocols and workplace guidelines • No prior experience required, but a mechanical background is a plus Preferred Qualifications: • Previous experience in construction, metalwork, or manufacturing • Familiarity with welding tools and equipment • Enrolled in or completed a welding certification program This is a great opportunity to start a career in welding!
