Sr. Data Center Implementation Engineer

Sr. Data Center Implementation Engineer Maryland 6 Month Contract-to-Hire $67 to $72 per hour during contract with a conversion of $140K to $150K annually Summary Senior Data Center Implementation Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise VMware and Cisco UCS environments. This role focuses on VMware vSphere, VMware Cloud Foundation, and data center infrastructure with an emphasis on performance, automation, and reliability.

Responsibilities • Deploy, configure, and manage VMware vSphere and vCenter environments. • Lead migrations from ESXi to VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF). • Administer VCF components including vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and vRealize.

• Implement and maintain Cisco UCS servers, fabric interconnects, and policies. • Design and support SAN, NAS, and vSAN storage solutions. • Automate infrastructure tasks using PowerCLI, Python, or Ansible.
• Support infrastructure projects, documentation, and ongoing operations. • Troubleshoot and monitor VMware and Cisco UCS environments to ensure uptime. Requirements • 5+ years of enterprise VMware vSphere/vCenter experience, including VCF.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco UCS hardware and UCS Manager. • Experience with VMware storage technologies (vSAN, iSCSI, NFS). • Scripting or automation experience (PowerCLI, Python).
• Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills. • Ability to pass a Public Trust background check. Bonus Skills • VMware certifications (VCP preferred).
• Experience with NSX, vRealize, or advanced VCF deployments. • Familiarity with enterprise storage platforms (Pure, NetApp). • Exposure to cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments.
