Principal Associate, Marketing - Global Payment Network

Principal Associate, Marketing - Global Payment Network Capital One is seeking a result oriented and data-driven Principal Associate, Marketing to fill a critical position within the Global Payment Network organization. In this role, you will orchestrate B2B messaging frameworks for various audiences that supports the Discover Network Brand and promotes awareness throughout the payment's ecosystem. The audience includes merchants, acquirers, enablers, and other network participants.

The role will also lead initiatives around consumer and merchant insights which teams will use to define and build strategies. Additionally, this role will manage vendor partnerships, ensuring operational excellence, adherence to policies, and ensuring our guidelines are being followed. Key Responsibilities: Support client facing teams with participant messaging, and brand guidelines that should be followed when developing materials and messaging.

Develop and document necessary job aides and team procedures Vendor Management Oversee vendor selection, onboarding, and performance evaluation Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements (SLAs) Implement governance frameworks to ensure compliance and operational efficiency Competitive Insights Lead merchant segmentation and behavioral analysis to inform strategy Collaborate with agency partners to share insights which will inform messaging frameworks and strategies Translate analytics into actionable recommendations for channel teams Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience At least 4 years of professional experience at a media or advertising agency, research firm, or corporate environment in a B2B focused role (communications planner, strategic planner, account planner, data strategist, etc.) Preferred Qualifications MBA preferred with marketing relevant coursework (esp. Market Research, Marketing, Sociology, Psychology, Behavioral Economics) Experience working within the Payments industry or B2B financial services industry At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. Chicago, IL: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Associate, Marketing Riverwoods, IL: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Associate, Marketing Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
