Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Certified Medication Technician (CMT)

Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Certified Medication Technicians (CMTs) to join our healthcare team. This role offers an opportunity to provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including long-term care, assisted living, hospitals, and community health environments. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in patient-centered care, excellent communication skills, and experience working with diverse patient populations, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those requiring specialized medical attention such as Alzheimer’s or dementia care.

The position emphasizes adherence to HIPAA regulations, accurate medical documentation, and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Duties • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts. • Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.

• Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document medication administration in compliance with HIPAA and facility policies. • Support patients with specialized needs including catheter care, infection control practices (aseptic technique), and memory or behavioral health management. • Collaborate with healthcare teams in various settings such as acute care units, ICU, emergency departments, post-acute facilities, and outpatient clinics.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control procedures and safety protocols. • Assist in medical documentation using EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms. • Provide emotional support and compassionate caregiving tailored to individual patient needs across diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health patients, and those with complex medical conditions like trauma or infectious diseases.

Experience • Prior experience working in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or assisted living communities is highly desirable. • Experience in acute care environments including ICU, emergency medicine, or Level I/II trauma centers is preferred. • Familiarity with specialized care areas such as Alzheimer’s/dementia/memory care units or hospice settings is advantageous.

• Proficiency in medical procedures such as phlebotomy or basic life support certification is a plus. • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient safety standards essential for effective caregiving. • Experience working with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks to ensure accurate documentation of patient information.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children with disabilities or behavioral health needs; experience in home & community care is beneficial. This role requires a compassionate attitude combined with technical competence to deliver exceptional patient care across multiple healthcare settings.
